My latest sale and 12,200% profit.

Posted on by in Uncategorized

No, that’s not a typo. Remember in the book I tell you about bag days? (You don’t? Go back to page 37.)

Well, I was lucky enough to find a dress and skirt outfit for 50 cents. Yes, 50 cents! Here it is and what it just sold for.

I’ve actually had this dress in a bag for awhile. I took it out recently as since I now have a mannequin, everything looks so much better and is really motivating for me. Anyway, I took it out and noticed a vintage union label on the skirt. SCORE!  That DEFINITELY motivated me to get it listed. I placed it in my store with a “best offer” and it sold pretty quickly.

So, my investments in the (1) mannequin (2) store (3) free shipping have all proven to work out well thus far. I wanted to let you all know about this successful sale because I really didn’t do anything special or “stumble” upon anything out of the ordinary. I simply took advantage of the sale pricesthe store had to offer and paid attention to vintage styles amongst the selection of items. At 50 cents, I could afford to give things a try.

I don’t always have great success. It’s eBay after all and sometimes the stars align just right and sometimes they don’t. But keep it up no matter what because there IS money to be made. Do your research, utilize eBay pulse like I tell you to on page 50 and be positive. There will always be downs but there are also a lot of ups!

What have YOU sold lately? What’s holding you back? Let’s hear about it!

SCORE! Brigitte, that’s just amazing. Spotting that union label was the key, wasn’t it! I think estate sales would be a great place to spot vintage clothing, and how about church-run thrift shops as well? The other day I bought a Tommy Bahama silk shirt for $2.99 and it sold within days in my eBay store for $29.99. That’s about a $100 shirt when new. Good for the buyer and good for me. I want more like that!

After much searching I ended up right back on eBay and bought it there. That is the cheapest even with shipping.
