Brigitte: Sorry you were sick and hope you are feeling much better now. Everybody's been sick down here in Florida, too. It must be the changeable weather! I am loving all your tips. I'm presently liquidating an estate that contains a lot of things that thrift stores would have, like T-shirts, sneakers, vintage clothes and shoes. I'm following some of your very wonderfuld advice and so far -- so good. Thanks for everything. Your tips are invaluable, especially to those of us who haven't been at it that long. Keep up the great work! Jan

You're right on this one. Sometimes its like God has just saved something for you and placed it in the spot you go!

I also noticed that GW tends to follow what I'm buying! For instance, I was buying wood items for a long time. I repainted them to sell. Their price went UP.
Then I was selling dishes, specifically Corelle, and they raised the price to $2 for one plate.
Then I was buying a lot of mugs and they raised them to $1 or more! Very frustrating! Lauren

thanks, Brigitte! It's a great tip, and I too have found stuff in the wrong place - I also work in retail, at Barnes & Noble, and we are forever putting books back where they belong - people walk around with a book and decide they don't want it, and just leave it anywhere. Same at the thrift shops, I'm sure. I found a Dooney & Bourke purse in a thrift shop stuck in with all the cheap purses for $4.99. Keep the tips coming!
